Symmetry is one of the songs that grew out of a musical idea. This way of composing is usually harder for me than starting out with a story. At the same time it feels more natural in a way.
At first I came to that particular type of groove that has a certain loose but pushing vibe.
It really took me a while to find out what the song should tell about. In an ephemeral moment the word „symmetry“ came to my mind. All the lyrics magically shaped around it because it gave me a lot of substance that I could musically refer to as well. (Philip Dornbusch)
