Trapped in a world who's time seemed to have stopped from one day to another is the inspiration for this song. The music was composed when the entire humanity was locked in due to a global pandemic. I personally felt I was imprisoned in a never ending nightmare and used this musical idea to create a contemporary RnB song. A steady pulse meets vocal art, trying to find a symbioses between groove and electronic inspired music. An outlet that helped coping with a general feeling of anxiety and isolation. lyrics
Moving slow
Feels like I am writing someone else's show
No one's left to tell me when it's time to go
Time to leave this madness to the falling unknown
Wake me up and let me go, let me go
You've never shown me the way to stop
Chasing your heart is all I got
When ready means to leave our dreams
and hopeful themes of memories behind
I never said it would be easy
Who told you it could be easy
facing our lie
You don't have to try
carrying traces slowly fading away
Fighting my brain, losing my mind
In a world with too much time
To think about how we got here again
Dressed up in our doubt
trying to pretend we are alive
Fighting my brain, losing my mind
In a world with too much time
To think about how we got here again
Dressed up in our doubt
trying to pretend we are alive
Dressed up in our doubt yea
Dre dre dre
Dressed up in our doubt yea
Dre dre dre
You would know
there's a way to hold a hand before you go
Even dreams can disappoint you, I know
Point the way to go
point at the ones who loved you so
Wake me up and let me go, let me go, let me go
You've never shown me the way to stop
Chasing your heart is all I got
Chasing the world is what I got
Chasing my name for what I got
Chasing the world is what I got
You've never shown me how to stop
Chasing my name for what I got
Chasing your heart is all I got
Fighting my brain, losing my mind
In a world with too much time
To think about how we got here again
Dressed up in our doubt
trying to pretend we are alive
Fighting my brain, losing my mind
In a world with too much time
To think about how we got here again
Dressed up in our doubt
trying to pretend we are alive
Dressed up in our doubt yea, dre dre dre
Dressed up in our doubt yea, dre dre dre
Dressed up in our doubt yea, dre dre dre
Dressed up in our doubt yea, dre dre dre
Dressed up in our doubt yea, dre dre dre
Dressed up in our doubt yea, dre dre dre
Dressed up in our doubt yea, dre dre dre
Dressed up in our doubt yea, dre dre dre
